  1. What did I get for my birthday? Podcast #35 mom of the year episode. I also became an uncle this weekend. Can My sister-in-law Beth get a shout-out? I love the podcast, you have at least one french canadian listner. Have a nice day and happy mothers day Wendy 🙂

  2. One reason they may keep the beer bottle caps is accounting for how many are sold. I remember # of cups used was a way of keeping track when they poured into them – they wouldn’t give me an extra to use as insulation and that was the reason they gave me.

  3. Wow, I’ve always been embarrass of my wifes white trash family. But I got to tell you after listening to your latest podcast you guys take the cake. Hands down you win the title of White trash family of the year.

  4. Wendy and Jim,

I love your podcasts, I hope it is eventually made into a sitcom. The one bone that I have to pick with you (pun intended) is the fact that you boiled your ribs. I can send you a recipe for ribs that can be done even on a gas grill that will be delicious without (ugh) boiling them! Low and slow…that’s what she said…and it is the only way to make ribs.

    Take care, Oz.

  5. Love the podcasts all the way from Maui. I can’t get on board with par-boiling your ribs but I would eat a dead cat if you put Sweet Baby Ray’s on it. I like to put my baby backs on a rack in a baking pan with about a half inch of water in the bottom but not touching the ribs. Cover the pan with aluminum foil, poke a few slits in it and bake (steam) them for an hour and a half at 350.
You can refrigerate them overnight and heat them through on the grill the next day with your SBR. Very tender, very moist. Enjoy.

  7. Hey Rich. We quit about 2 months before you did so those stats can be slightly inflated and they’ll apply to us as well. Amazing. It was lazer therapy for us both. I was shocked..SHOCKED that it actually worked. Congrats to you for doing the right thing and getting that monkey off your back.
